Guangdong announced its first group of 25 pilot hospitals for international medical services in March 2026.
The initiative focuses on service standards, operational efficiency and a more accessible experience for foreign patients. Shenzhen and Guangzhou are important entry points for travelers from the Greater Bay Area and Southeast Asia.
