The National Immigration Administration’s August 20 guidance says nationals of 61 countries may enter Hainan visa-free for up to 30 days for short-term purposes including medical treatment, subject to the stated passport, port and itinerary conditions.

Eligibility and enforcement can change. Confirm nationality, documents, entry port, travel scope and stay limit with NIA or a Chinese diplomatic mission, and obtain hospital appointment confirmation separately. PatientChina does not provide immigration decisions or medical advice.
