Patient Q&A

Patient Q&A: What should I check before a holiday-period medical trip to China?

Check travel documents and border conditions first, then reconfirm the hospital visit separately; one does not replace the other.

Question: I have a hospital consultation or health check during a busy holiday period. What should I confirm before I leave?

Answer: Start with passport validity, visa or other entry basis where required, and current conditions at your arrival port. The National Immigration Administration advises travellers to watch port traffic changes and check that entry documents and visas are valid. Allow a time buffer for clearance and transfers, especially on forecast peak days.

Then confirm the hospital visit independently: campus and department, date and local time, appointment or registration reference, records to bring, payment method, interpreter arrangements and a reachable contact number. A border or airport service cannot verify medical eligibility or hold an appointment. For changing visa or entry questions, use the official immigration channel; for clinical and booking questions, use the licensed hospital directly.
